On July 9, 2025, the Torrey Pines La Jolla Rotary Club proudly inducted Dr. Merritt Hougen as our new Club President for the 2025–2026 Rotary year. A respected internal medicine physician with over 40 years at Scripps Clinic, Dr. Hougen played a key role in establishing the General Internal and Urgent Care facility and has long been a leader in San Diego’s medical community.
Merritt joined our Club in November 2024 and quickly became a source of wisdom, humor, and calm leadership.
